PERVIOUS CONCRETE

Pervious concrete is made by using little to no sand to create a large volume of interconnected voids. Cement paste and admixtures bind stone together to form a porous material.

Pervious concrete has many benefits that function together in saving our environment. Rainwater can pass directly through and into to the ground, reducing storm run-off and prevent flooding and erosion. Its open-cell system creates a filtration process that purifies the runoff water preventing pollution. Pervious concrete also serves as a water retention structure and eliminates the need for traditional storm water management systems such as retention ponds and sewer tie-ins.

Pervious concrete is most frequently used for parking lots, sidewalks and other paved paths.
